These are challenging times as Australia and the international community band together in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We continue to communicate with our customers, staff and suppliers on our capability to deliver our dental and infection control supplies which you are accustomed to buying.
Over the past eight weeks, we have been closely working with our suppliers to ensure products coming out of COVID-19 impacted countries are available as much as possible.
At this point in time however, we are seeing many countries in lock down, air and sea freight routes being cancelled, and the Australian dollar at more than 30-year lows against foreign currencies. Supply chains for some of our current essential items such as surgical masks, examination gloves, isolation gowns, hand sanitisers, are being currently affected in escalating prices and in short and limited supply.
We are committed to, at the forefront to protecting the safety of our employees and their families, and as a result for the foreseeable future , we have asked our travelling sales staff to either work from home or our office. They will still be available to speak with you at any time by phone.
Secondly, we are committed to keep providing the exceptional service and products which our customers have come to expect from Orien. Under the current circumstances however, our phone operators are being swamped and, on some days, overwhelmed with phone enquiries, so please bear this in mind when calling. Our warehouse and despatch staff are working extended hours and are also currently under enormous pressure. Please make allowance that orders may be a little late in arriving to you. We are absolutely trying our best!
Unfortunately, we will need to put in place some priorities and restrictions to prioritise the neediest and be as fair as possible to our existing customers.
