A Swedish dentist first invented the luxating periotome to allow the clinician to perform an extraction as atraumatic as possible.
- Fine blades (single or double sided) allows the clinician to cut through the ligament while the handle is ergonomically designed to make the procedure as comfortable and easy as possible.
- Very little pressure is used to push the periotome blade into the ligament and with a horizontal movement, allowing the ligament to be cut away from the alveolar bone with minimum tissue trauma.
- Available in 3 blade widths to cover the entire dentition.
